  • How are you different from the rest?
As one of the select few physical therapists with fellowship training and board certification, I provide one-on-one treatment that is tailored specifically to each individual. With my expertise in joint mobility, movement performance, and muscle recovery, I take a personalized approach to each patient’s care rather than following a generic, one-size-fits-all template. I don’t make assumptions or follow trends; instead, I tailor treatment plans based on your unique needs and goals, ensuring the most effective recovery and performance.
  • Can you help me?
Probably, but let's talk first. Book a free phone consultation to get started. In my experience, 90% of injuries can be effectively treated with physical therapy. If it turns out that physical therapy isn't the solution for your case, I can provide you with modifications to help manage your condition while you pursue further care. I believe that everyone is an athlete in their own right, whether it's caring for a newborn, working long hours at a desk, or running marathons. My goal is to help you return to the activities that bring you joy.
  • Do I have to have a PT referral to start treatment?
Under new regulations, a Physical Therapist can now evaluate and treat your injury without a physician's referral for up to 15 consecutive business days, provided the PT holds a doctoral degree and has completed a fellowship or residency.
  • What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept a variety of payment methods, including HSA/FSA cards, major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover), debit cards. Using your HSA/FSA is an excellent way to pay for treatment.
  • Why should I choose PTxSA?
The short answer: direct access to personalized therapy to get you to your physical goals, faster. The long answer: I am fellowship-trained through IARSportMed, one of the leading sports and orthopedic manual therapy fellowships in the country and I am also board-certified in orthopedics. This distinction is held by fewer than 1% of physical therapists nationwide. This extensive background has equipped me with a diverse and comprehensive approach to patient care. My goal is for patients to achieve the results they deserve in less time and with fewer visits. I recognize that no two patients are alike—each individual has unique goals and experiences. By taking these factors into account, I will tailor treatment plans to achieve the best possible outcome for each patient.
  • If you aren't in a gym, what equipment do you use?
Physical therapy is only limited by creativity. By using body weight and a few pieces of portable equipment, we can tailor your treatment from minimal activity tolerance to more intense, targeted interventions, ensuring you are fully prepared for any challenges you may face.
  • Why is insurance not billed?
PTxSA operates as an out-of-network practice because the business model of in-network clinics often limits the high-quality care I provide. In-network providers are pressured to see many patients per hour, often relying on assistants and using basic treatments like heat packs and exercises that can be done at home. This results in generic care plans and frequent visits that aren’t always necessary. In contrast, you’ll receive personalized care from a fellowship-trained and board-certified orthopedic specialist every session, which lasts one hour. The care you receive here is built on a foundation of putting your best interests first. You will receive one-on-one training. Your treatment will not be restricted by the reimbursement limits set by your insurance provider. You won't receive surprise bills months later due to visit limits or uncovered costs. For most patients, this means only one visit per week, saving you both time and money. Many of our patients find that their out-of-pocket costs with us are often lower than what they’d pay at an in-network clinic, especially with high copays and deductibles. Insurance coverage for physical therapy is becoming more limited, and sometimes, the cost of our care is less than what you would pay at a clinic that accepts insurance. Before choosing based on insurance alone, it’s important to consider the actual cost and value of care at both in-network and out-of-network options. If you have TRICARE, you can still see us as a non-network nonparticipating provider. You’ll pay PTxSA directly, but you can file a claim with TRICARE for reimbursement, allowing you to take advantage of your benefits. Please be sure to verify with TRICARE regarding the details of your specific plan and the process for submitting reimbursement claims before beginning care.
  • Why do you offer mobile physical therapy, and how does that benefit me?
Mobile physical therapy brings the convenience of care directly to your home or preferred location, eliminating the need for travel and saving you time. This approach can also reduce costs associated with traditional clinic overhead, allowing for a more affordable and streamlined experience. With one-on-one, dedicated sessions, mobile PT ensures that patients receive the highest quality of care tailored to their specific needs and goals.
  • What do I need for my first appointment?
Once your appointment is scheduled, I will send health history and consent forms for you to complete beforehand, allowing us to maximize our time together. Please wear comfortable, flexible clothing that allows for movement. If we are meeting at your home or office, ensure there is sufficient space for the treatment table and room for mobility exercises. During the session, we will assess your movement to identify the underlying issue, then proceed with targeted treatments, which may include dry needling, cupping, or joint mobilization, depending on your needs.
  • How long is this going to take?
Several factors can impact the duration of care. Fortunately, the human body is resilient, and once the underlying issue is addressed, pain relief can often be attained quickly. Typically, I schedule appointments on a weekly basis; however, if you are experiencing significant pain, we may initiate treatment with two visits in the first week to facilitate immediate relief before moving to weekly sessions. On average, most patients reach results within 6-8 weeks. Again, my goal is for you to achieve recovery and strength in fewer visits with a personalized program.
  • What if I am not comfortable with a method of treatment?
My treatment approach is personalized and begins with meeting you where you are as a person. The most important factors are your safety and comfort. I will always provide my professional recommendation, and together we will collaborate to find the most effective path to your recovery.
